MAYOR’S OPENING STATEMENT
Mayor Sammons gave his Thanksgiving Address, thanking our community, service members, veterans and our great country.
He also mentioned that Tom Ratterman has displayed beautiful panels in Council Hall showing North Bend’s history and welcomed everyone to stop by to view them during office hours.

Ron Nunnery moved that the October 17th, 2016 Minutes be accepted. Ron Hartoin seconded the motion. Motion carried 100%.

Fran Romweber made motion to pay the bills. Tim Boll seconded the motion. Motion carried 100%.

The Maintenance Supervisor’s Report is available at the Village office.
Rick mentioned we are scheduled to receive 100 tons of salt donated by Consolidated this year.

POLICE REPORT
Corporal Swearingen reported there were 60 calls for the month of October. Two were assigned to detectives and one has been closed. Two criminal activities took place; one at 154 Miami Avenue and one in Edinburgh Place.
GUESTS
Joe Bonner, President of the Edinburgh Villas Homeowners Association, stated he put out an email vote to the homeowners and they have agreed to purchase 14 hanging flower baskets on seven poles in Edinburgh Place. He will sign the contract from North Bend in December. Mayor Sammons advised Mr. Bonner we have contacted our insurance company and they would like to see Edinburgh Homeowners’ Liability Certificate.
FIRE REPORT
Chief Ober reported there were 11 EMS details (none of which were heroin related) and 2 fire runs; one of which was a false alarm and one an auto accident.
He also reported that all fire hydrants in North Bend that are on the Cleves system are operational.
Mayor Sammons stated he met with ODOT to discuss with them reducing US 50 to one lane and reducing speed in the North Bend area. (This is called a "road diet"). Mayor Sammons asked Chief Ober if he thought this might help reduce accidents on US 50 in this area. He also would like to know where Chief Ober thought the best exit onto US 50 would be for a light to be installed; St. Anne’s and US 50 and Miami Avenue and US 50 were brought up. Chief Ober will collect his data and report on this at our December meeting.

As part of Hamilton County’s Public Health We Thrive Action Plan, Fran discussed the possibility of a littering ordinance. This would help increase community pride. Two purchase orders were written this month – Husac Paving, $13,100.00, for driveway work and Jonle Heating & Cooling, $853.00, for boiler motor replacement.

MAINTENANCE REPORT November 21, 2016 Rick Schultz
-New driveway resurfacing complete.
-Finishing touches on holiday boxes and decorations.
-Finished mowing and trimming for the last time this year.
-Lights reset and oil changed on pickup truck.
-Working on prepping snow equipment.
-Talked with Casey at Consolidated about our salt donation.
-Assisted Cleves with installing Christmas decorations. They will assist us the next two days.
-Trimmed back grasses and winterized sprinkler system.
-Removed leaves from Municipal Building roof; changed air conditioner filter.
-Brought back planters to maintenance building.
-Hamilton County work detail will pick up trash along Three Rivers Parkway on November 30.
-Three Rivers Parkway street cleaning will begin next week.
-Our heat motor was replaced for $568.00
DEPUTY CLERK’S REPORT November 21, 2016 Marilyn Kramer
I opened Council Hall for Precinct Judge on 11/7 and 11/8; all went well on Election Day.
We donated a North Bend Flag banner to the North Bend Yacht Club, per their request. I attended their meeting on 11-10 to present our banner to them,
which they will use for each meeting. A thank you card was sent for the dinner.
Our Wellness Committee met on Friday, November 18th. Kim Chelf attended and we decided on an Action Plan. Minutes of the meeting were distributed.
All pavers have been delivered to Acsent for engraving and should be ready December 16.
I had the platted map we won from "Everything But The House" framed, and it will be displayed in our office.
Breakfast with Santa will be Saturday, December 17th from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Santa has been confirmed for this date.
I would like to purchase a light weight vacuum for office cleaning.

I’ve contacted the Ohio History Connection and have been asking for brochures on North Bend’s two presidents for several months.
They’re now promising to print them for us, hopefully in time for President William Henry Harrison’s Birthday Celebration in February.
